About Us
We (Bill and Julie) were college sweethearts and tied the knot the same year Star Wars opened, Elvis died, and Jimmy Carter became President. We raised our four fun and rambunctious sons in the Black Hills and Colorado Rockies. After returning to Brookings to care for an ailing parent, we spent several years creating Good Roots Farm and Gardens, LLC. We restored the grounds and barn, love growing food in our high tunnel and gardens, and are privileged to contribute to a warm and friendly community. Welcome to the farm!
