The loft has original beams, beautiful lighting, windows, and a maple floor.
The ground level has an adjacent lighted patio and two large and lovely maintained green spaces.

Tables and chairs for 200 guests, plus extra 8 and 6 foot tables for serving.
Supplemental heat on both barn levels, and air-conditioning on the main level.
Ample on-site parking. Handicap designated parking.
Indoor handicap-accessible restrooms.
Electrical for sound, bands, or a DJ.
Built-in sound system for both levels. Plus portable sound unit, hand held mic and stand for use indoors / outdoors.

Beautiful outdoor green spaces with gardens, gazebos and trees. (So far, 5 different outdoor locations on the property have been enjoyed for wedding ceremonies).

Smoking is outdoors only. West of barn.
We do garbage removal. We appreciate your team’s help in cleanup after your event.

Does the venue include tables and chairs? Yes, the rental fee includes 8 foot banquet style tables and white +chairs for 200 guests for use indoors or outside. The grounds can easily hold 300+ guests overall. All above is included, exceptions noted.

Rentals

We rent these items. Tax included.

We have a minimum of 150 of the dinnerware items. We deliver and courier back to the kitchen after use, at your discretion. If you want me to help your team make sure all the tables are set perfectly, I'm happy to.

Food/

Drink

How about eats? Good Roots creates savory and sweet, custom wood-fired pizzas fired in our outdoor ovens and served buffet-style for up to a group of 50 guests (10 pizza minimum). It’s perfect for a rehearsal dinner or group event! Many pizza toppings are harvested fresh from our organic gardens. We also offer home-grown garden salads. You can also secure your own caterer, or bring your own fare. We can recommend: Celebration Catering (Caryl Bunkowske 218-301-6575) Midwest Fresh, Craft, Valley Restaurant-Volga, Backyard BBQ, Elkton Locker, Hy-Vee and Aramark. You have access to do light food preparation in the adjacent commercial kitchen and get dedicated refrigerator space to boot. We will provide your beer, wine and soda products for your guests; We have a beer and wine license. Expenses are factored into the price of beer and wine, but prices are fair and don’t exceed those charged by similar facilities in Brookings.

Cost

What is the cost? We are competitively priced for this region. We offer a weekend wedding rate that is popular for all day Fri, Sat and Sun til noon. One day weekend (Fri/Sat) or weekday rates, as well. Our venue rental, etc. INCLUDES TAX and lots of perks. Inquire about rates for other kinds of events.

When and how

We are open for events from May through the end of November. Check the website calendar; we keep it current.

When you make a down payment and sign the contract your event goes on our calendar.
